"And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the
peace of thy children." Isaiah 54:13
YOUTH REPORT
AUGUST 2008
The month of July quickly passed by, the youth were very busy with a lot of exciting things. Our first youth meeting of the month we played a bible trivia game called "Who Wants To Be A Christianare?" The kids really liked it. Then we had pizza and cupcakes to celebrate the beginning of a new school year. The kids also got to take home some school supplies. At Camden Park for the church picnic we had around 21 kids attend. What a fun filled day it was, I believe they rode every ride at least three times maybe more. At the end of the day I believe everyone was exhausted. On July 31st we started our V.B.S. and it ran through Saturday August 2nd. We had a great turnout. On the first night we had 58 children and 11 adults. On this evening, the children learnt about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins (Mark 15 & 16). Then on night 2 we had 48 children and 12 adults. The children learnt on that evening about Naaman and how he was healed of his leprosy (2 Kings 5). Then on day 3 we had a fun day with food and inflatables. Each evening we collected pennies from the children for our penny war. There was a girl team and a boy team and whoever brought the most pennies won. This year the boy’s team brought in a total of 36 lbs of pennies and the girls brought in 25 lbs, both very impressive, but there could only be one winner. So Savannah, because the girls lost got a pie in the face by Mark Todd. It is just a blessing to see so many children in the Lord’s house and learning about what an Awesome God we have. Until next month may God Bless!

"And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the
temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased, And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say?
And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise"
Matthew 21:15-16
