TEACHER REPORT
|
It feels good to once again be involved with young people in Sunday School. As some may know I at one time was an assistant teen teacher at a church I used to attend. I really enjoyed teaching then and still do. I appreciate all the votes that I received during last month’s annual business meeting and feel really fortunate to have Brother Donald Sensabaugh as my assistant teacher. There is a lot of responsibility to teaching this class. As I stated the first day of class, I believe this is the hardest class to teach in the church, not because of the students but because not only are you responsible for them learning about the Bible but when they leave this class they are pretty much at the age where they decide on their own whether or not they want to keep coming to church.
Starting out our class had only three people in it but as of late we have taken in a fourth in Tyran Ellis. It’s good to see the class growing and I hope during this year it will continue to grow and that we can do some activities to get more interest and to make learning about the Lord fun for the whole class. For our Sunday School lessons we have adopted the same quarterly that the adult class currently uses so we have been learning about the Israelites’ journey to the Promised Land. Pray for us that we do the Lord’s will in the upcoming year with the class that we have been entrusted to.
